Hong Kong research

Speaking of Hong Kong - have you seen these stunning photos by photographer Michael Wolf- from his Architecture of Density project? And if you have any tips on great places to eat, shop and visit in Hong Kong, please let me know.

I lived in Hong Kong for 6 years - can attest to fabulous food, but sadly since I was there for high school I only frequented the malls (Pacific Place, Times Square) and touristy markets (Stanley Market, Temple Street Night Market, Mongkok).

The ferry ride to Rainbow Seafood on Lamma island is worth it. The salt and pepper prawns is wonderful! They provide the ferry service from Queens Pier in Central to their restaurant.

The oddly named American Restaurant in Wan Chai serves up some great Pekingese style Chinese food.

Wander around Lan Kwai Fong for a variety of unique African and other Asian foods.

If you're in the mood for Indian, visit the Curry Pot (One) in Wan Chai.

Enjoy!!

Hej Igen

Hi Sidsel,

We really loved the bird market in Kowloon. Afterwards we walked down towards the water from there (quite a walk) and took in the Jade market and a few temples.

Here are a few of our pictures from Hong Kong (not as nice as the ones you posted):
http://www.seethe.abstractcow.com/,
then choose Hong Kong (at the bottom right).

Have fun!
