How many pillows...?

I´m going to Formland tomorrow to catch up on the latest trends in home accessories, design and gifts. I know for a fact that after a whole day spent there I´ll be overloaded with impressions and also the thought of "how many pillows does the world actually need??" But then again -pillows are such a great and cheap way to refresh a room - and I´m already in love with these darlings above designed by the Norvegian design duo Darling Clementine for Ferm Living.

Bedroom Inspiration

Ha ha - let´s see how the search engines react to this title! Well the thing is that our bedroom needs some love when it comes to the interior design, so I created this moodboard for the new look. Right now it´s all white and clean - and only decorated by the big world map with lots of blue and brown tones. I wish to add more softness and darker colours to the room and still like the colour combo of brown and turquoise -I´m also wondering if we should paint one wall in a dark chocolate brown, or gold or wallpaper it. Any suggestions anyone?

Belli Bellucci!

These rings and broches made from coloured pencils, by Italian designer, Maria Christine Bellucci - are so belli belli! that they have been added to my wishlist immediately.

colour theraphy

The last 2 days here have been so rainy and grey - and a true reminder that autumn is coming up. So here´s a little colour theraphy with some lovely and muted feminime colours. Everything is from Youheshe - except the purple purse which you can find here.

Love your home

I´ve been waiting for this book to be published - it´s titled Elsk dit hjem -Love your home -and looks amazing and inspiring - with tons of tips and beautiful photos on how to create the perfect home for you! - you can have a look here.

It´s written in Danish by Feng Shui expert Ranvita la Cour - and I plan to find my own copy today - because our apartment needs a little love before the "indoor-season" starts. I love the way Ranvita writes and thinks about interior design - and Sabine has done a great job designing the book!

I really really like this new sofa by Moroso, this still life from the lastest issue of Boligliv - and the black lamp by Spanish designer Helena Rohner which is on my wishlist.

I heart this picture of two ladies in Copenhagen sooo much - and just thought it would be fun to make a little Get the Look via Polyvore - to honour the 2 stylish ladies. I really wish that I will end up on a bench in the sun with my best friend when I get old - and that we will look as colourfull and fun as they do.

Ever since I came back from Ambiente in Frankfurt some months ago - I´ve been dying to share this Italian master with you, Rina Menardi. Her stand at Ambiente was like a little heaven of colors, shapes and craftmanship - and now that her new website is up and running it´s time to share. Go and see her wonderful collections which are a fusion of art, design and craftsmanship. And off course it´s all on my wishlist!

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday - and the sun was shining all day. But I woke up feeling really sad and sorry for myself - I´ll be 40 next year and that my dear makes you think! But the day turned out great - with breakfast in the sun outside our studio with Line who gave me the painting below, titled FLY. Nanna gave me the best present ever - a cushion she had embroidered and a homemade card with flowers and hearts. I gave myself the Gloriosa flower above - and the day ended with vietnamese take-away at home with a group of great girlfriends and a game on my new WII-fit.

Today I feel a lot better and the sun is still shining.

3 years of blogging

My blog and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday. It´s been 3 wonderful years of sharing my inspirations here in a digital sketchbook - and also a personal record for keeping a "diary". It´s been so inspiring to connect with so many fellow bloggers and to experience all the eyecandy and inspiration out there.

When I was younger I travelled a lot and enjoyed meeting new places, people and cultures - and blogging has allowed me to keep doing this from my workdesk - and I truely love the internet for this.

Another highlight has been meeting other bloggers in real life. Everyone has been extremely open friendly and passionate about blogging - and I highly recommend that bloggers make sure to meet in real life whenever possible.

I have many new plans and dreams for the future - one is to improve my blog and to get to know my readers better - and I´ll be so thankful if you will spend 2 minutes to answer this survey.

Wanted: Old wooden chairs

Ever since I saw some old wooden office chairs in a funky bar in Barcelona this summer - I´ve been looking for something similar online. But so far I´ve only found them on photos - which have only made me want them even more... - so if you know where to find some please let me know.

Sorry I´ve been collecting these images for so long that I now can´t remember where they are from.

I just love the colours in these paintings by french design duo 2,Rouge - and they are now added to my wishlist. I also wish I had painted something similar myself to show this weekend when we open the doors to the public in our studio - but please come by and say hallo anyway if you are in the area.
