All Is Well

Hello again and thanks for all your sweet comments - I´m happy to tell you that I´m now slowly getting back to normal - I´ve finished my treatment, I can type, I can spend time in front of my screen, I even went to a Magazine Design Conference - and the fatigue and headache has gone. I´m still tired and have given myself one more week to recover completely before I start working again - knowing that when I start working my clients will keep me busy right untill our Christmas Holidays (I´m already dreaming of beach-life and Thai-food).

Small update

It´s time for a small update - just to let you know that my Blogbreak will be a little longer than I first expected. It turned out last weekend that my Borrelia infection had spred to the central nervous system -so I´m now in treatment for Neuro borrelia which means that for the last week and the week to come - I´m a patient at the local hospital.

I check in every morning for a big dose of antibiotics - some coffee and lunch - and then I go home and relax on the sofa or in bed. I have a venous cannula inserted into my hand so theres not much else I can do - even typing is tricky. So no working or blogging these days. I´m doing fine and will get over this without problems - and I consider myself "lucky" that I´m in treatment already now - since it´s such a tricky dissease that can be hard to diagnose - but I´m not sure what to think of deer and bambiés after this experience.

Bambi>Borrelia>Blogbreak

It´s been quiet on my blog lately - due to a paralysing headache for the last 2 weeks. My doctor have now finally found the cause - which is a Borrelia infection.

The Borrelia comes from a tick-bite, and ticks live on mouse and deer - and since we are surrounded by deer and cute bambies in the summerhouse - I now know who´s to blame!

Trendy trees

I spotting a trend here - with big branches used as interior decorations - I guess it´s not a new thing - but in these photos from Sandbox Studio - and Tine K - they have got it just right!

Yesterday a huge man on a bike crashed into Nanna and I on our way to kindergarden - my bike now needs a new backwheel and my bruised and shocked body really needs the long and luxurious treament at this Spa , which was booked weeks ago - I guess that´s what you call perfect timing!

Flower girl

We had the most fantastic wedding-party this weekend - and I´m so happy and thankfull that we shared this day with our wonderful friends and family - and I still have sore feet from dancing untill 4 in the morning! Here´s a photo of the studio friday morning when I did all the flower arrangements - and a photo of how they looked in the restaurant this saturday. p.s the vases are from Ikea!

Hello again

I´m just popping in again to let you know I´m back from my Holidays - and also back from my 3 week internet detox! The internet-detox was great and I highly recommend it - eventhough the first days were hard and with the same reactions like when you stop smoking... a bit scary actually to find out how much I love and am addicted to the Internet!

I have tons of deadlines in my studio and a wedding party to plan - but I´ll try to get back to the habit of posting on a regular basis - see you soon! p.s I missed you.

This is what our studio looked like this saturday at lunch. My friends had organized a super Bachelorette-party for me - before our weddingparty in August. It was such a treat to spend the whole day and night with 14 of my wonderful girlfriends. On the picture I´m holding my new gymnastic ribbon which was a gift :) - I can´t tell you anymore or show more photos - because the rest is top secret - and my brain is completely blank today anyway. Tak tøser!

Summerhouse tour

I´ve noticed that I often refer to our weekends in our summerhouse - but forget to explain why I love this spot so much. So here are a few pics from this weekend - just to give you an idea why our little spot is so great.

A presto!

Ciao Ciao - I´m off to a wedding in Napoli and a reunion with some very dear and old italian friends. Afterwards we will spend some very relaxing days in this little piece of heaven.

5 years of joy

5 years ago today I became the mother of the most wonderful daughter in the world.

Nanna is a goddess in Norse mythology, the daughter of Nepr and wife of Baldr (Balder). She and Baldr are both Æsir and live together in the hall of Breidablik in Asgard. According to Gylfaginning, when Baldr was unintentionally slain by the blind god Höðr through the treachery of Loki, she was overcome with grief and died. She was placed on the funeral pyre alongside her husband on his ship Hringhorni which was then launched out to sea.

In Sumerian it means " The one that lights up"

Nanna var sumerernes månegud, og Enlils og Ninlils førstefødte søn. Han var gud for vækst og frugtbarhed, og bestemte over kalenderen og årstiderne. Nanna betyder på sumerisk "Den der lyser op".

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday - and the sun was shining all day. But I woke up feeling really sad and sorry for myself - I´ll be 40 next year and that my dear makes you think! But the day turned out great - with breakfast in the sun outside our studio with Line who gave me the painting below, titled FLY. Nanna gave me the best present ever - a cushion she had embroidered and a homemade card with flowers and hearts. I gave myself the Gloriosa flower above - and the day ended with vietnamese take-away at home with a group of great girlfriends and a game on my new WII-fit.

Today I feel a lot better and the sun is still shining.

3 years of blogging

My blog and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday. It´s been 3 wonderful years of sharing my inspirations here in a digital sketchbook - and also a personal record for keeping a "diary". It´s been so inspiring to connect with so many fellow bloggers and to experience all the eyecandy and inspiration out there.

When I was younger I travelled a lot and enjoyed meeting new places, people and cultures - and blogging has allowed me to keep doing this from my workdesk - and I truely love the internet for this.

Another highlight has been meeting other bloggers in real life. Everyone has been extremely open friendly and passionate about blogging - and I highly recommend that bloggers make sure to meet in real life whenever possible.

I have many new plans and dreams for the future - one is to improve my blog and to get to know my readers better - and I´ll be so thankful if you will spend 2 minutes to answer this survey.

Celebration

I´m celebrating a lot of things these days - first of all I´m so happy that our family and friends have been blessed with 8 healthy babies during January. It´s time for a big welcome to Aksel, Luca, Anna, Lejla, Emil, Sophus, Selma + Louises´s babysister. I´m also celebrating that we have booked the restaurant for our summer/wedding party in August - which means I can start planning all the little details. I´m also celebrating that I drove our car all by myself last night while it snowed - there´s a first time for everything and I´ve decided that 2009 is the year I´ll start to enjoy driving - instead of dreading it.

New year resolutions 2009

This weekend I held a workshop in our studio for a group of female friends, who all made visonboards for 2009. Both the process and the results were so wonderful - and I´m planning on making more workshops like this in 2009. You can get a glimpse at our studioblog here.

We are married!

Ohhhhh - I been looking forward to share this with you - and now that our friends and family have received the news about our marriage - I guess I can share it here too.

We got married secretly on the 12th of December at the City hall here in Århus - and exchanged wedding rings at the beach in Thailand the 30th of December and had a very private dinner with some close friends from home afterwards. It was perfect to do it this way since Thailand is "our place" - and we will throw a big party in the summer 2009 for friends and family here in Denmark- so it will be 3 events all in all - pretty clever right?

I´m not dreaming of a white christmas...

I´m having one of those days today - so I just had to make a little reminder for myself of where I´ll be within 3 weeks time - so here´s a little sea and sun if you need some too... I sure do - and will stop complaining right away now - and start looking forward to our Christmas Holiday instead...
