weekend project

Making my own set of these paper owls by Mibo will be my weekend project if it rains - and if the weather is nice I´ll paint windows and pick Boysen berries outside the summerhouse instead.

Wishing you a lovely weekend too.

Weekend Greeting

Here´s a Happy Weekend greeting from me to you! It´s created via Polyvore - a great website that lets you mix and match images from anywhere on the web, to create outfits, interior designs, or any kind of collage. It´s a great tool for people who don´t have fancy design programs installed like photoshop etc. - and it´s also a great timewaster.

You are invited!

This friday, 25th of April we will host a small reception for our friends, families, clients and networks - so if you are curious to see my new space or studiomate - or just wish to say hi! -please feel free to pop by - between 3pm - 6pm - for a chat, a snack and some vino!
- and for those of you who are not so close by - I´ll post some pictures later.

Paper-love and Friday Fun

I just discovered this wonderful onlineshop, The Paper Studio, a fine art shop run by artists who are paper fanatics! Among other things they have the most amazing collection of Japanese papers - called Chiyogami Paper, Yuzen Paper and Washi Paper. They are all little pieces of art - and you can see here how it takes six silkscreen runs to print the designs on a sheet of paper - Amazing!

Another great find is this Dutch site Mijn Moodboard that Decor8 just wrote about. It´s in Dutch but if you enter your email address to the right, check the box, and click login - that will take you where you need to be to create your very own inspiration board. All images are there - so you don´t need any fancy design programs to be creative here - just a good amount of time because it´s a great tool and very addictive... Just made this - to match the papers above and to wish you a great and cosy October weekend.

Tagged

I´ve been tagged by Joanna. The rules of tagging are that I have to reveal 8 personal things and tag 8 other people ...I´m not tagging anyone - but feel free to grab it from here and let me know if you do - because it´s always fun to get to know people better!

  1. I stopped smoking 6 months ago
    - It´s been so easy to stop and I´ll never go back to smoking again.

  2. I was 34 years old when I got my drivers license and my first car
    - I´m an O.K driver - but I hate to drive.
I prefer to go by foot, bike, train and taxi if possible, and I dream of getting a private chauffeur one day.

  3. I always wear some kind of jewellery
    - mostly gold or in ceramic.

  4. I love toasted bread with butter - and a good cup of tea
    - and I prefer salty stuff to sweet.

  5. I love flowers and gardening
    - and I dream of getting an old garden full of flowers one day.

  6. I can play the clarinet and saxophone
    - and I love all kinds of music.

  7. I´m a B-person and night owl
    - and I´m really grumpy in the morning.

  8. As a child I was really tall, skinny and sporty - now I´m small, not skinny and creative
    - but I´ve just started running and enjoy getting fit again.

And I have a soft spot for face transformers so.... this is what I look like with a Cowboy Moustache, As a Simpson Character and after a Hair Makeover.

Pig personality

Here you can draw a pig - and find out what your drawing says about your personality

Here are my results:
you are a realist.
you are direct, enjoy playing devil's advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions.
you are emotional and naive, you care little for details and are a risk-taker.
you are secure, stubborn, and stick to your ideals.
you are a good listener
...
-no comments - start drawing!
